We're bursting at the seams!
Vaudeville Underground has grown so incredibly fast that we're already at the final steps getting into a big, beautiful new building.
We hear you. You want an inclusive circus school in Salt Lake City that prioritizes diversity, has classes for all ages, and provides childcare all the way down to infants. You want coaches compensated fairly at industry standard rates, and you want access to Scholarships for those who need it. You want to learn and grow safely together in the supportive and encouraging environment we’re creating.
So, what's happening?
Dream of pausing at the front entrance of a large and supportive gym full of your community… you pick through local art tank tops for your next exercise outfit, and leave your latest handmade creation at the desk. You’ll make your next sale in the consignment shop soon too. You drop your toddler off in the childcare room and head to aerial first, then a gooey floorworkshop on the private dance floor upstairs. Your coaches happily help you hone a gorgeous act – you’ve figured out that new trick and you feel good doing it. You’re ready to sign up for the student showcase coming up. You pick up your little one and head out, listening to stories about all the fun things they did in class all the way home.
We care about the same things you do.
We're almost there!
The good news:

We've found the perfect place.

It's enormous. High ceilings, a dance floor room, a childcare room, a chill space, and a consignment shop of our community's artwork.

We’ve done the math left-right-sideways-upside-down. Our growth will sustain the building, and the building will sustain our growth.
The catch:

We don't fit in the current space for the level of growth we're sustaining.

We need to be able to finance move-in costs.

The current space is too small to host an event or many more students up-front, so we can’t use that space to raise the funds needed.

We can't access the building until we've moved, so we can only host an event once we’ve financed the transition.
The solution:

We’ve secured investors and sponsors for a significant portion.

Now we need circus folks and the greater Salt Lake community to hit the goal.

We’ll run a crowdfunding campaign that includes membership presales.

Once we’re in, we’ll host a Circuswarming to thank you and celebrate the new space.

The rest will cover things like gear, equipment, and mirrors.

Our financial projections have been passed off by a business analyst.

We already have 3 committed investors and 5 sponsors (with more in the talks).

We’ll update where we’re at for our crowdfunding goal on Instagram and our email list.
If we only hit Goal One, we’ll move in and grow to Goal Two from the growth of our student base. If we hit Goal Two or Goal Three, we’ll be able to take care of more things sooner. The higher goal we reach, the faster we’ll be able to grow our student base and overall monthly revenue. Here’s a brief breakdown of costs as they relate to each Goal.
